How it works: The Pumpkin Lifecycle

A black-and-white booklet to cut and staple, about the stages a pumpkin goes through.

  1. Download and print double-sided — flip on the long edge.
  2. In your printer settings, choose the right paper size: A4 or Letter.
  3. Print at actual size (or a custom scale of 100%) — never "fit to page".
  4. Give your child age-appropriate scissors and let them cut along the solid black lines.
  5. Give them a staple — they can staple anywhere; we've marked handy spots for them.
  6. Read the book together.

Which paper size should I pick?

Both editions (A4 and Letter) have the same content; pick whichever your printer normally uses.

Why do I need to print double-sided?

Every sheet's back carries the text for the stage on the following page. Once you print double-sided, cut, and staple everything into a booklet, opening it to any spread shows that stage's text -- printed on the back of the sheet before it -- together with its picture, printed on the front of the next sheet. One stage, one full spread, the way a real book reads. Print single-sided and the texts land on the wrong pages, out of step with the pictures.
