Once there was a fox. She was clever, like all foxes.
All night she looked for food. She found nothing at all. Her tummy growled and growled.
In the morning, she smelled something. Fish! A cart full of fish was coming down the road, pulled by two big oxen.
"Here comes my dinner," said the fox.
She lay down in the middle of the road. She closed her eyes. She did not move. She looked just like a dead fox.
